Configure the SIP Trunk on Apps móviles
Use your PortalPBX extension on your phone with a SIP app, over Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Before you start
- A SIP app installed from Google Play or the App Store.
- Extension details: server, username and password.
Your trunk details
PortalPBX sends them when the trunk is activated. Replace each placeholder with your real value.
- SIP server (host or domain)
- <servidor-sip>
- Port and transport
- <puerto> · UDP / TCP / TLS
- SIP username
- <usuario>
- SIP password
- <contraseña>
- Assigned DID number(s)
- <DID>
- Authentication mode
- Registro / IP
- Enabled codecs
- G.711 (alaw/ulaw) · G.729*
* G.729 only if enabled on your trunk.
Step by step
- 1
Add an account
Open the app and choose to create a manual SIP account (not the app vendor account).
- 2
SIP details
Server/domain <servidor-sip>, username <usuario>, password <contraseña>, transport as indicated.
- 3
Permissions and battery
Grant microphone and notifications. Exclude the app from battery saving to receive calls in the background, or use push notifications if the app offers them.
- 4
Test
Call another extension and ask someone to call you to validate inbound calls on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Recommendations
- Some mobile networks or public Wi-Fi block SIP: try TCP/TLS if UDP fails.
- Use G.711 on Wi-Fi; on weak mobile data, G.729 if enabled.
- Do not share your SIP password; if you lose your phone, ask to change it.
Common errors
No recibo llamadas
The app is suspended by the OS: check battery saving or push.
Se corta al cambiar de red
Normal when switching from Wi-Fi to data; the app must re-register.
